About Rizolvr

A small studio for specialty retailers.

Rizolvr builds tools that help independently-owned shops use modern software — including AI — without giving up the things that make them independent.

Why this exists

Fifteen years on the floor.

I owned and ran a bike shop on Lightspeed Retail for fifteen years before any of this. I’ve closed the register at eight on a Saturday and counted bar tape on a Sunday. I’ve spent entire afternoons on a manufacturer price update — push the new costs through, walk the floor, and re-sticker every affected SKU. I’ve rebuilt seasonal min/maxes mid-season after a vendor stocked out on the part half the reorder report was built around. I’ve fixed inventory variances by hand and chased a special-order PO the vendor swore was shipped. And I’ve sat with customers when their tune-up cost more than they hoped, weighing whether to mark a frame down now or hold the price and hope it moves at full margin.

I’ve also paid for dozens of plug-ins over the years that promised to solve one piece of this or another. None really did what I needed. Every one had hard limits — on the reporting, on what you could actually ask, on what shape your business had to fit into.

That experience is the reason Bridge looks the way it does. The tools are named after the questions a shop actually asks — query_workorders, query_attach_rate, query_inventory_aging, query_due_for_visit. Not list-this, get-that. The questions are operator questions. The data shapes are operator data shapes.

Rizolvr already ships one product for Lightspeed retailers — LS Toolkit — efficiency tools and scheduled reports for the human-reads-a-dashboard workflow. Bridge is the second product, pointed at the same shops but at a different layer: the AI assistant the owner already uses, now with access to the same data the dashboards read.

Why now

Three things converged in 2026.

01

MCP became a standard

Anthropic shipped the Model Context Protocol in late 2024. By 2025, OpenAI, Google, and most enterprise AI platforms supported it. Every serious assistant can call MCP tools today.

02

Retailers got AI-curious

Specialty shops watched what generative AI did for marketing copy and customer support, and started asking what it could do for inventory and customers. They don't have IT departments to build the integration themselves.

03

POS vendors are slow

Lightspeed, Shopify, and others are adding AI features on their own schedule, inside their own walls. There's a window for a focused third-party connector to do the job better.

Who we work with.

Independently-owned specialty retailers running Lightspeed Retail. One to five locations. Owner is hands-on. Categories we know best:

  • Bicycle shops
  • Outdoor + paddle + board sports
  • Music instrument stores
  • Ski + snowboard + hardgoods
  • Motorcycle + powersports
  • Pet supply (independent)
  • Firearms + archery
  • Book + hobby + game stores
  • Vintage + jewelry + watches

Not on Lightspeed Retail? Bridge is platform-agnostic at the architecture layer — Square, Shopify POS, and Vend/X-Series are on the roadmap. Today it’s Lightspeed Retail R-Series only.

What’s next

From read-only to read-write.

Bridge Standard and Premium are read-only by design — your AI can see your shop but can’t change anything. Pro is the read + write tier: your AI can update prices, manage tags, create POs, and print shelf stickers. Every write is logged, attributed to a named seat, and reversible within a rollback window.

Pro is in private beta today, accepted on a case-by-case basis. We are not racing to ship the writes — we are racing to ship them responsibly, with audit and undo as first-class features. If you want a closer look, join the waitlist.
