Bridge Pro is out of beta: your assistant can make the change now

October 20, 2026 · Brent Garrigus

Every price increase I ever lived through at the shop went the same way.

The email comes in from the distributor. New costs, effective the first. You spend an afternoon pushing the costs through Lightspeed, then figuring out which retail prices need to move with them, then printing new stickers, then walking the floor swapping tags on every SKU that changed. Nothing about that afternoon needs an owner. It needs somebody to do it.

Since June, Bridge has let your AI assistant read your Lightspeed data: what sold, what's aging, which customers are due for a tune-up. It could tell you exactly which 140 SKUs that price increase touched. Then it handed the list back to you.

Now it doesn't have to. Bridge Pro is out of beta and open to anyone on Lightspeed Retail. No invite code, no waitlist. Pick Pro when you sign up, or switch to it in your portal.

What changes on Pro

On Standard and Premium, your assistant reads. On Pro, it can also act, in Lightspeed, on the things a shop actually spends its afternoons on:

  • Prices and costs. Push a vendor's new costs through, move retail to match, and print the new shelf stickers in Lightspeed's own label format.
  • Purchase orders. Build a PO from a reorder list, add and change lines, adjust costs.
  • Work orders. Create them, add parts and labor, move them along.
  • Items and tags. Create items, update the details, tag a whole category for a sale in one go.
  • Customers. Fix records, update tags, merge the duplicates every shop accumulates (and un-merge them, if you got it wrong).
  • Reorder points. Reset the min/maxes when a vendor stocks out halfway through the season.

You ask the way you'd ask an employee. "Push the new Shimano costs through and keep my margins where they are." "Tag everything in Winter Apparel for the clearance." "Start a PO for the QBP reorder." The assistant works out what that means in your data and shows you before it does anything.

How we kept it from being scary

I wouldn't have let a tool like this near my own shop without three things.

You see it first. Every change is previewed: what's going to be touched, what it becomes. Nothing goes to Lightspeed until you say so.

You decide who can do what. Write access isn't one switch. It's sixteen separate permissions, granted one person at a time. Your service writer's assistant can move work orders and never touch a price. Your buyer's can build POs and never edit a customer.

There's a record, in Lightspeed. Every change is logged, and Bridge leaves a dated note on the Lightspeed record itself. Six months from now, when someone asks why that SKU is $4 higher, the answer is on the item.

Most updates can be undone: prices, costs, tags, details. Some things can't. A new item or a new PO is a new record, and the preview tells you which kind you're about to make before you approve it.

You can try it before you pay for it, sort of

On every tier, your assistant can see the Pro tools and preview what they'd do against your real data. It just can't apply the change. Ask a Standard account to push those Shimano costs through and you'll get the full preview, every SKU and every new price, and then a note that applying it needs Pro.

That's on purpose. I'd rather you see exactly what the tool would do in your shop than read a feature list about it.

Pricing

Pro is $99.99/mo for your first shop location and $49.99/mo for each additional one, self-serve up to nine shops. It syncs with Lightspeed every 15 minutes. If you're on Standard or Premium today, switching takes effect right away. You'll re-authorize Lightspeed once, because Lightspeed doesn't upgrade a read-only permission in place, and then you choose which seats get which permissions.
